New YouTube Video Up   3 comments

I have a new YouTube vlog up about cheat days on the ketogenic diet.  I’d love it if you could listen to the whole video and tell me what you think.  Do you agree with me?  Do you disagree?  If so, I’d love to hear what you think.  Like and subscribe on YouTube if you’re so inclined.  Coming up this week I’m going to start doing product reviews.  I know in the past I’ve mentioned I was an Amazon Affiliate.  That isn’t the case at the moment.  These will be reviews of products I use regularly and like.  If you purchase them I make no financial gain or compensation of any kind.  I’m just telling you what I like about the product.  So without further ado, here is the video:

  1. More than 6 months in…. for the first time… some call it a cheat, but I made the ‘choice’ to treat myself to 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes and gravy on Thanksgiving Day….. I ate two bites and tossed the rest out. Previously a staple of mine during my pre-keto days…… now tastes repulsive to me! I’m just not craving any of the unhealthy food I used to eat. I actually look forward to my green vegetables now! Feeling healthier is more satisfying to me than the starches, chips, sweets, etc. 😉

Keep up the good work! Great video.

    • I get you. On one of my keto days off I had a mocha. Hadn’t had one in a while. Didn’t finish it because it was too sugary. I like looking at it as a choice because it reminds you that you’re in charge, not your cravings. That’s why I never feel bad about it. And why I also choose to balance it out.

      • What you say makes absolute sense. When you “cheat”… you are taking a passive position in your way of eating and you are allowing old habits and food control you. When you “choose to indulge”, you maintain control despite the consequences.

        That’s what adults do. 😉 To me, it’s not a ‘diet’… it’s a way of life.
